ELCF Seminars
The “Engineering for a Low Carbon Future” seminar series, which follows our previous series on “Sustainable Manufacturing”, aims to explore the contributions that engineers can make to meeting the 80% cut in global carbon emissions recommended by climate scientists to avoid catastrophic climate change. Broadly these talks have focused on opportunities for engineers to reduce demand for energy, and technologies that offer a future low carbon energy supply.
The talks are open to all staff and students in the department of engineering, and to others in the university interested in this topic. The series has run since October 2007 and the third series of talks will begin in October 2009.
