ELCF Seminars

The “Engineering for a Low Carbon Future” seminar series ran from October 2009 to December 2010, following a series on “Sustainable Manufacturing”. It aimed to explore the contributions that engineers can make to meeting the 80% cut in global carbon emissions recommended by climate scientists to avoid catastrophic climate change. Broadly these talks focused on opportunities for engineers to reduce demand for energy, and technologies that offer a future low carbon energy supply.

These seminars no longer run, but those interested in these topics should consider the Distinguished Lecture Series in Sustainable Development
